I'm Jeff Kershner, and I've been solving complex software challenges for over 25 years. Whether it be games, medical insurance billing, website hosting, or hundreds of other online tools, I have been writing software that you have probably interacted with in some form or another. I enjoy making tools or websites that people actually find useful and actually use. This website is just one more example of that.

I have done many things in my career, but since 2007, I've specialized in full-stack development, working with technologies ranging from C++ to Python and modern JavaScript frameworks like React and Next.js. I've helped to build scalable SaaS platforms, real-time data processing systems, and consumer-facing applications that serve millions of users. My experience spans across fintech, healthcare, gaming, and e-commerce sectors, giving me a unique perspective on solving diverse technical challenges. I've even written code that goes on deep sea oil rigs.

OpinionGrab was born from a simple frustration: every polling tool I encountered required signups, had limitations, or wanted to monetize user data. I believed there should be a straightforward, privacy-respecting way for anyone to gather opinions quickly. So I built it. No accounts, no tracking, no nonsense – just a tool that works exactly how you'd expect it to.

My development philosophy centers on creating software that respects users' time and privacy. I believe the best tools are those that disappear into the background, letting people accomplish their goals without friction. Every feature I add to OpinionGrab is evaluated against this principle: does it make the experience simpler and more valuable without compromising user privacy?
